Suggestions for Getting Started with an Engineering Notebook:

1. Ensure you share your Notebook with your entire group;

2. Make sure you add a diary entry every day;

3. All entries should be sequentially numbered from page to page;

4. Provide a brief statement of the objectives for the each session;

5. Document all research and cite your sources;

6. Label all pictures, sketches and calculations;

7. Clearly indicate the date before or after each entry on a page;

8. Show all work for formulas and conversions;

9. Entries should be clear and complete so that someone else can follow and understand your design process;

10. Document all testing and code debugging.
